Keighley Aikido’s First Course on 19th February

The club is proud to announce its first seminar on Sunday 19th February.

Keith Hayward, 6th Dan Shihan (senior national coach) will be teaching for 2 hours. Mr. Hayward has over 40 years experience studying and teaching Aikido. He is one of the senior instructors in the United Kingdom Aikikai and has tirelessly spread Aikido in Shropshire. He has been invited to teach in Greece and Lesvos.

The course will start at 1pm at the Taekwondo School of Excellence in Keighley (near the petrol station entrance to Morrisons – Google Maps: BD21 5LH).

Children are welcome.

Training fee is £10.

The course is open to beginners and people who practise other martial arts. Training insurance will be available on the day for a nominal fee. You are welcome to come and watch if that is what you would prefer.

New clip uploaded

A new clip of Urban-sensei throwing me has been uploaded in the film section. The clip was taken during a seminar in Korea in 2009. Urban-sensei demonstrates three techniques – Ikkyo, Kokyo-nage, and Kokyo-ho.

Christmas and New Year break

Club is now closed for Christmas and New Year.

Classes will start again from Thursday, 5th January.

Have a peaceful christmas and I look forward to seeing you all on the mat again in the new year!
